Whereas WIRED’s “New York in Black and White” (posted 11/16) features shots documenting New York City’s burgeoning yesterday, represented mostly through architecture, “Moon River Photography” housed at SMUG MUG documents its dazzling today as represented by its people. The eternally constant and frenetic pace, counterbalanced by a steel and concrete resolution that could just as suddenly lends itself to warmth and romance, is captured. From the unknown to the famous, from Sting in performance to a man with an umbrella strolling across the Brooklyn Bridge, the city’s present day diversity is realized.
Andy Williams (hence “Moon River Photography”) is the photographer, general manager and house professional at SMUG MUG. He lives in the New York City area and usually does portrait and event work but his “artistic interests tend toward street photography and landscapes.”
It’s well worth a visit for anyone interested in The Big Apple lifestyle. And, of course, it’s Williams’ eye for beauty, especially in his “New York Minute,” which makes the visit an absolute delight!

Wow! I don’t know how I found this but I’m glad I did (blush!)… thank you for the so-very-kind words about me and my work. You made my day!

Enticed by the photo, I went to Andy’s site and just couldn’t leave it! Needless to say, the New York photos were awesome - but so were all the others. The Utah set just blew me away.
