Bottled NYC Tap Water For Sale

As if the world needed reminding that the United States is a country full of senseless consumers with no real grasp on 1) the rapidly deteriorating ecology of the planet or 2) reality, a dubious company/beauty pageant called Miss New York City (their grammatically incorrect slogan is “the most pretty girl”) announced today that they are selling bottled tap water to the public (something Tokyo’s Metropolitan Government Bureau of Waterworks started doing as a public awareness campaign). Lesson to learn: Stupid people will buy anything.

“There’s a market for it,” replied a man affiliated with Miss New York City who goes by Nzomo and whose official title is “operations.”
I really have to start drinking heavily, I really do. Just when you’d thought that the widespread stupidity afflicting this island Earth couldn’t get any worse, well…you find out that you were wrong.

    Scratch~ As I said before I’ll say again: The generation of fools is endless. A savvy businessman could take the most insignificant piece of junk, adorn it with some nifty packaging and trendy ambiance, find a few suckers to pass the word that something “cool” is in their midst, and a fortune could be made. It’s embarrassingly true that in the 1970s such nonsense as “pet rocks” and “mood rings” were all the rage in America.

    They have been bottling and selling tap water for years under the guise of “mountain spring water”. Its laughable.
