The Airbus A320 was tied to a pier in Battery Park City in preparation for being lifted from the Hudson River.
After the passengers and five-member crew were removed from the debilitated plane, it was towed with the swift current downriver, intact, and moored to a bulkhead at Battery Park City , where it still rested on Friday morning with the left wing and tail sticking out of the water.

Thanks a lot for your kind reply. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that my posts are anywhere near “high quality,” but they do often come about as a result of high blood pressure and effort (or chance) on my part. However, I won’t argue the point with you and accept your generous critique with much gratitude.
