I haven’t looked over this post in ages and still intend to rewrite it (as mentioned in my above comment: It was unabashedly “lifted”).

I love Engels’ work; he possessed a natural sensitivity to realism and portrayed life in its most simple because profound visualizations. THE LITTLE FUGITIVE is a minor masterpiece…never before has Coney Island been captured through the eyes of a child (through the eyes of anyone) with such vividness. Being that I was born/ raised in Brooklyn, this film is all the more treasured by me.

Yikes! That looks cold! They’re all crazier than very crazy things indeed.

People go to Scarborough to do that on Boxing Day – can you imagine the North Sea in December?! Local people tend to stand on the promenade pointing and laughing at the silly inland folk lol
