Why bother having the terror trials in a courthouse when we could have them at the new Long Island Rail Road terminal?
After all, the new “Atlantic Terminal” rail station that opened officially on Tuesday is one of the most heavily armored facilities in the borough — ringed by no less than 14 mammoth concrete coffins [...]

What were Mayor Bloomberg and his staff thinking—or, perhaps, not checking—when they invited Siraj Wahhaj to City Hall yesterday? For those of you who still remember or still care, Wahhaj was an outrageously unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He went on to act as a character witness for the blind shake-your-boogie [...]

The hate was as vehement as ever outside a Manhattan mosque today. Protected as they were by the guaranteed freedoms of the USA, the very nation they seek to destroy, the brothers of the “Revolution Muslim” continued to exploit that very freedom.
Yousef al-Khattab and Younes Abdullah Mohammed preach that the killing of U.S. troops overseas [...]

New York City’s National September 11 Memorial and Museum (along with the once Freedom Tower now One World Trade Center and other hyperbole of yesterday) may finally arise sometime during this present generation’s life expectancy. Until then, as an added attraction to the Big Dig (aka Ground Zero) bemused hordes of curious onlookers will be [...]

Where just a few days ago, merrymakers gathered to welcome in the New Year, protesters have gathered in Times Square today to demand an end to Israel’s retaliatory attacks on Gaza. Shortly after nightfall, a ground offensive was launched against Hamas rulers in this widening and increasingly destructive war. Israel’s military said that the incursion [...]

There are certain sects of religious fanatics (or psychotics) out there whose sole mission in life is to make life utterly miserable for those not sharing in their mission and, hence, not equally miserable. Every day and every night, while the world endlessly strives towards sweet delight, they tirelessly endeavor to bring endless night to [...]

Today marks the seventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on this nation. Once again, the bell will toll, the names of the dead read aloud, as New York commemorates that day with a fine blend of solemnity and political photo ops.
Nevertheless, the trauma that was 9/11 has vanished with the dust and [...]
